Sarah & Charles

The couple came from the UK to marry in France. Their elopement in the Loire Valley, where Sarah spent part of her childhood, was an obvious choice for the couple.

They wanted an intimate wedding in an exceptional spring venue. We opted for the Abbaye Royale de Fontevraud, offering them comfort and luxury for 2 days with their friends.

Timeline of the day & style

Sarah & Charles met their friends in Paris, then took the train to Saumur. A pretty town on the banks of the Loire. They enjoyed the Loire’s magnificent natural landscapes, with a ride on a traditional gabarre (historic wood boat on the Loire). Then they discovered the Abbaye Royale, and dined in the Michelin-starred restaurant in the heart of the Abbey. Sarah & Charles and their friends visited the Musée d’Art Contemporain by night – privileged access when staying at the hotel.

The next day, they exchanged vows in the heart of the Abbatiale. And after a cocktail at the iBar, they enjoyed dinner in the Abbatiale. The party ended at the iBar, privatized for their guests, with music, champagne and Cointreaupolitain.

The following day, we organized 2 visits and tastings at local wineries. After a visit to the Loire Valley chateau of Chambord, they headed back to Paris to enjoy the City of Light.

Sarah wore two Anne de Lafforest dresses, purchased in Paris. The jewelry came from Nah Clay and Le Printemps.
